Happy New Year!

I love the new year. A chance for a fresh start, new dreams and new goals. I like choosing a word as my theme for the year. Last year it was LISTEN. I was going through health problems and needed to listen for guidance from the Lord. That story I'll leave for another day, but everything changed the night I felt the Lord speak to me. Not in an audible voice, but in the silence, I heard the phrase over and over in my head. A quick google of the phrase led me to Isaiah 41:10,

I am ten times better than I was this time last year because of the mental healing he gave me through that time of fear and frustration. Now, doing much better and much healthier, it's time for me to pick a new word. This year it is INTENTIONAL. So I am going to make this a year of intentionality and choose joy each day, pain or no pain. This life is more than just going through the motions, as I felt I was doing for quite awhile.

Who knows what tomorrow may bring? So I choose to live today with intention, with purpose, and with joy.
